The work of a Clipart Artist – Educlips

Today I am proud to present to you, clipart artist Sarah O`Shea from Educlips. She`s a well familiar name in the TpT community and one of my favorite go-to shops whenever I`m in need of clipart for my resources.

Hi! My name is Sarah O’Shea and I am creator and owner of the store, Educlips, which sells clip art sets with education in mind.

I am from England but am now living in Charleston, South Carolina. I have been married for ten years and have three daughters, twins aged 5 and a 5 year old.

I have been teaching for 16 years and have
taught K – 5th grade, music & art in England, Hawaii, and the
Middle East.

Last year, we moved back to the US from the
Middle East (where my husband worked for the US Navy) and since I started selling
my clipart, I have not yet returned to teaching. I absolutely love what I do and am obsessed
with drawing and creating my little cartoon people.

I am beyond thrilled with how well my
clipart has been received and am even more delighted that teachers are using the
art in their classrooms with their students.

To create my clipart, it is a lengthy
process, which involves me starting with a sketch, which is then scanned and
processed in Illustrator. It took many months of learning via YouTube tutorials
but I found a process I was comfortable with and went from there.

I work very long hours so it helps that I really enjoy drawing and creating the clipart. One set can take around 14 -16 hours to complete, depending on how complex the drawings are.

Educlips sells clipart in various stores.
We have our own store: Educlips,
and have a membership program, which gives members 10% off every clipart set.
Memberships are valid for one year and can be renewed. It’s a great idea to
have one if you intend to buy a lot of clipart. I also have a Teachers Pay Teachers store. In addition to that, we also sell on
Teachers Notebook and Etsy.

We offer 50% off all new clipart sets for
the first 48 hours in our Educlips store and in our Teachers Pay Teachers
store.

The clipart can be used in both personal
and commercial products. Terms of use apply to all of our sets, whether they
are free or paid items. The terms of use are attached to all of our products
and can also be found at the top of our website but generally, we do not permit
reselling images in their original state or using the images without text
around them. The images should be used to compliment your educational products,
not used on their own as coloring pages, flashcards, posters etc.

Our bestsellers are seasonal items and
alphabet and phonics images, but I produce sets on based on most subjects in
school.

I recommend following Sarah and her Educlips store, both on her blog and her Facebook page!

It will give you some great offers and lots of fabulous freebies 🙂 She has some fantastic Halloween clipart – check them out here!
